The ‘Exploring’ Approach

Tailored 1:1 Courses for Children

At Approach Education, we understand that some children face barriers that classroom teaching alone can’t overcome. That’s why we’ve developed The ‘Exploring’ Approach – a compassionate, personalised 1:1 service designed to help young people reconnect with learning and thrive.

Led by Director Emma (27+ years in education including headship), our team works directly with children and their school to identify and address key challenges, offering clear guidance for next steps.

Our Course Themes Include:

  • Exploring Behaviours Which Challenge

Helping children identify and reflect on the reasons behind challenging behaviours, building emotional literacy and self-regulation strategies.

  • Exploring Anxieties

Working 1:1 to gently unpick fears and worries around school, home or social situations, and build effective coping tools.

  • Exploring and Building My Confidence

A supportive journey toward building self-worth, self-belief and resilience in learning and life.

  • Exploring My SEND Needs

Helping students understand and embrace their learning profile, with tools to self-advocate and succeed.

  • Exploring My School Fears

Addressing specific fears linked to school environments, including bullying, sensory overload or previous trauma.

  • Exploring Internal Truancy

Supporting children who are physically present in school but mentally checked out – helping to reignite their motivation and connection.

  • Exploring Low Attendance

Working with students and schools to remove blocks and rebuild positive routines for regular school attendance.

  • Exploring My Transition to Secondary School

Helping Year 6 and 7 pupils transition confidently and positively into new school settings.
